I don't know where I am going after this year. I was going to go with my mom to live in Tacoma, but now it's looking like she's going to be getting a place with some friends from school in Seattle and commuting...I don't really want to live with a bunch of people, particularly not strangers. Three people, even 4, but this plan could involve as many as 6 other people living in the house...not only that but it would be sort of temporary housing, people would come and stay for a few days at a time while working and then have their primary residence in Bellingham. So it would be a bunch of strangers who wouldn't even live there consistently so it's not like I could get to know them really.
I'm reconsidering Western as an option, and looking into dorm and housing situations at PLU and UW-Tacoma as well. I would rather live in the Seattle area, because in just one year Jack will be moving there and it would mean only a year apart and we want to live there anyway.
There's another option on the table now...I have a list of languages I want to learn (French, Spanish, German, Russian, Japanese) and if I learn German and review some French I have a very decent chance of being able to get into this international program...basically I would get to study for a year in Germany as an ambassador from the US, and I would most likely also get an internship (quite possibly paid) while living in Germany. This could be an amazing opportunity. Not only that, but Jack would be applying as well (probably not for a couple years, so I have time to learn the language somewhat) and we could possibly live in Germany for a year...
So many things to think about. Yikes!
Anyway, I've almost completed one pair of Faerie wings for Jack and I's Halloween costumes. They should be finished tomorrow, assuming I get enough homework done to have time to work on them. We're starting the second pair either Wednesday or Thursday and hoping to have both pairs (along with Jack's costume) completed by Sunday, so that I only have to worry about my skirt after that. A week should be plenty of time to make my costume, so we're doing okay.
I bought some candles and gathered some cute little acorns for my Samhain altar, I probably won't have time for a full ritual unfortunately, but I'll honor the holiday in my own way. Haha.
